BREAKING: Oklahoma State Cowboys beat prominent programs to land commitment for 4-star RB

Oklahoma State football’s 2026 recruiting class received a significant boost on Wednesday with the commitment of 4-star running back. Jones chose OSU over schools like Oklahoma, Kansas, and Vanderbilt, among others. He made the announcement at Jenks High School, where he recently completed his junior season.

Standing at 5-foot-11, Jones is ranked as the No. 19 running back in the 2026 recruiting class by 247 Sports. Both 247 Sports and On3 also rank him as the No. 3 prospect in Oklahoma.

In January, Jones had released a top-five list that included Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisville, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee. Although OSU wasn’t on that list, the Cowboys managed to secure his commitment, defeating several other schools in the process. Jones had also received offers from Alabama, Oregon, and Ole Miss, among others.

Jones is now the centerpiece of OSU’s 2026 class, marking a significant win for running backs coach Cory Patterson, who joined the team in December.
