SOONERS SLAM: Oklahoma Softball Rebounds with 5-1 Win Over Missouri, Kasidi Pickering’s Homer Sparks Victory
The Oklahoma Sooners softball team bounced back from a tough loss on Saturday to take down Missouri 5-1 and win the SEC series on Sunday afternoon.
The Sooners showed incredible resilience after snapping a 31-game win streak dating back to last year’s Women’s College World Series. They’re now 29-1 overall and 8-1 in the SEC.
Kasidi Pickering was the hero of the game, smashing a two-run home run over the centerfield wall to give the Sooners the lead. The homer sparked a four-run fifth inning that put the game out of reach for the Tigers.
“I’m just proud of our team for responding the way we did,” said Oklahoma head coach Patty Gasso. “We had a tough loss yesterday, but we came back today with a lot of heart and determination.”

Sam Landry threw all seven innings, striking out nine batters and only giving up four hits. The win marked Landry’s 12th of the season, and she improved her ERA to 1.23.
The Sooners will travel to Wichita, Kansas, to face Wichita State on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
