New York Giants part-ways with 24-year-old talented player

The linebacker  agreed to a one-year, $4 million deal with the reigning Super Bowl champions.

He was selected by the Giants as the 50th overall pick in the 2021 draft out of Georgia and made an immediate impact, recording eight sacks in his rookie season—setting a record for a Giants rookie. However, injuries have prevented him from progressing further with Big Blue.

From Pro Football Talk:

Ojulari appeared in 46 games with 30 starts in his first four seasons. He has recorded 22.0 sacks with 21 tackles for loss and 37 quarterback hits in his career.

In 2024, Ojulari tallied 6.0 sacks with seven TFLs and 10 QB hits in 11 games with five starts. He was on the field for 58 percent of defensive snaps and 12 percent of special teams snaps in games played.

The Giants were reportedly keen on re-signing Ojulari, but it seems he may have been asking for too much. To strengthen their pass rush, they recently signed former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Chauncey Golston.
