Oklahoma State Cowboys confirm big news regarding talented linebacker

The Cowboys’ fourth commit comes from inside state lines.

A  2026 linebacker from Bixby High School, announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Saturday night via X.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound outside linebacker recorded 72 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, three QB hurries, and forced a fumble during his junior season. In coverage, he had three pass breakups, three interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. He also contributed as a wide receiver on offense.

Although the Cowboys weren’t the first Big 12 team to show interest, they successfully secured the in-state prospect. Kansas State, Iowa State, Kansas, and Arizona State made initial offers, followed by Utah, Texas Tech, Iowa, and others. McGlothlin visited Stillwater last weekend, and that appeared to be the deciding factor in his commitment.

Rivals ranks McGlothlin as a four-star recruit, placing him as the No. 4 player from Oklahoma in the 2026 class and the No. 28 linebacker in the cycle.

McGlothlin is now the third commitment for the Cowboys this week and the fourth overall, joining fellow Tulsa-area prospect offensive tackle Aiden Martin and edge rushers Landon Bland (Missouri) and Jaylen Stewart (Texas).

Be sure to check out his junior season highlights.
