Indianapolis Colts part-ways with 26-year-old physically gifted player

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the reigning Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles have signed Indianapolis Colts  tight end  to a one-year deal.

Originally drafted by the Colts in the 4th round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the  26 years old, concludes his tenure in Indianapolis with 86 receptions for 958 receiving yards (11.1 yards per reception average) and one touchdown over 62 career games, 17 of which were starts.

As the Colts aim to upgrade their tight end group with more dynamic playmakers, Granson seemed unlikely to be re-signed, serving as a representative example of a position that struggled to provide consistent production last season.

Granson will now get a fresh start with the Eagles, who are reportedly open to trade talks involving their starting tight end, Dallas Goedert, likely due to salary cap concerns.

The Colts also face uncertainty with veteran tight end Mo Alie-Cox, who is a free agent, leaving his future in Indianapolis unclear. He could be looking to join a more realistic playoff contender for the upcoming season.

On the other hand, the Colts have been frequently linked to highly regarded Penn State tight end Tyler Warren in media reports, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Indianapolis targets the tight end position early in the upcoming NFL Draft.
