
Chris Drury, President and General Manager of the New York Rangers, announced today that the team has acquired forward from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for defenseman.
The 28-year-old has appeared in 19 games for the Sabres this season, recording two points (1 goal, 1 assist). Playing for the AHL’s Rochester Americans, he has tallied eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) in 12 games, along with a plus-3 rating.

A native of Slave Lake, Alberta, Aube-Kubel has accumulated 32 goals and 48 assists for 80 points in 301 career NHL games with Buffalo, Washington, Toronto, Colorado, and Philadelphia. He has registered over 115 hits in each of the last four full NHL seasons. In 2021-22, he set career highs in goals (11), assists (12), points (23), and plus/minus (+11). Aube-Kubel also won the Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche in 2022.
Originally drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the second round, 48th overall, of the 2014 NHL Draft, Aube-Kubel joins the Rangers after a solid career.
