BREAKING: Buffalo Sabres confirm game-changing news that has fans buzzing

The Buffalo Sabres have secured another upcoming free agent by signing forward  to a two-year extension. According to TSN’s Darren Dreger, the deal is valued at $4.75 million per season.

The 33-year-old has been sidelined for the past few games, with his last appearance on February 25, as he deals with an ongoing injury. Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic reported Thursday morning that, according to head coach Lindy Ruff, the Sabres are exploring various treatment options for him. Ruff described the situation as “frustrating” for Zucker.

Zucker has 44 points, including 18 goals, in 54 games this season for the Sabres. Over the course of his NHL career, he’s appeared in 751 games and has 214 goals and 200 assists for 414 points with the Minnesota Wild, Pittsburgh Penguins, Arizona Coyotes, Nashville Predators and the Sabres.

The Sabres officially announced the extension on Friday afternoon.
