The Minnesota Vikings had a remarkable 14-3 season, driven by Coach of the Year Kevin O’Connell and quarterback Sam Darnold’s breakout performance. At the same time, Vikings fans were treated to the NFL’s top-ranked game-day experience. According to the league-wide “Voice of the Fan” survey, the Vikings and U.S. Bank Stadium earned the highest marks for “Overall Game-Day Satisfaction,” setting a new record with the highest score ever in this category.
“The ‘Voice of the Fan’ survey measures NFL Season Ticket Member experiences and game attendees’ satisfaction with their game-day experience. Each team’s fans are surveyed throughout the regular season,” read the Vikings’ announcement.
Minnesota ranked in the top 10 for eight out of nine categories in the survey, showing improvements from last year’s results in areas like Food & Beverage, Security, Game-Day Staff, and Arrival & Departure.
“These incredible rankings reflect the dedication, energy and commitment of our entire staff as well as the collaboration with the MSFA, ASM, Aramark and all of our stadium partners,” said Vikings Chief Operating Officer Andrew Miller. “We always seek to provide a world-class experience for Vikings fans, who we believe are the most passionate fans in the NFL, and we’re honored they rated their experience positively with such record-breaking marks.”
U.S. Bank Stadium, built on the former site of the Metrodome in Minneapolis, Minnesota, opened in July 2016. It has a maximum capacity of 73,000 patrons. In addition to hosting NFL games, the venue also has hosted college basketball, soccer, baseball, college football, professional wrestling, concerts and more.
