In an effort to bolster their roster for the upcoming season, Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss Rebels have added a player from the Penn State Nittany Lions via the transfer portal.
The Rebels’ 2024 season was generally viewed as a success, though their exclusion from the College Football Playoff (CFP) sparked some disappointment. With the goal of returning to the top next year, Kiffin is enhancing his roster and has already secured the commitment of former Penn State wide receiver Harrison Wallace.
The news was confirmed by college football insider Hayes Fawcett, who shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account (@Hayesfawcett3) that Wallace has decided to transfer to Ole Miss. Wallace, who is 6’1″ and weighs 200 pounds, had an impressive season at Penn State with 46 receptions for 720 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was considered one of the top available players in the transfer portal, according to On3.
Having played alongside talented quarterback Drew Allar last season, Wallace is expected to be a key offensive weapon for Ole Miss as he joins Kiffin’s high-powered offense in Oxford.
The success of Ole Miss in 2024 has prompted several key players to declare for the upcoming NFL Draft, including star quarterback Jaxson Dart. Along with Dart, wide receivers Tre Harris, Jordan Watkins, Juice Wells, and tight end Caden Prieskorn have also made the decision to turn pro.
Now, Lane Kiffin will focus on surrounding new starting quarterback Austin Simmons with the necessary support to achieve strong results in the 2025 season.
