In a surprising turn of events, wide receiver transfer has decided to back out of his commitment to West Virginia, according to West Virginia On SI. The gifted wide receiver had pledged to join the Mountaineers on January 11th, is now seeking a better fit for his collegiate career.
He played last season at Butler Community College, had an impressive year, catching 19 passes for 331 yards, averaging over 17 yards per reception. Prior to his time at Butler, Walker spent two seasons at Vanderbilt, appearing in one game.
Due to recent NCAA rulings regarding junior college transfers, Walker is expected to have three years of eligibility remaining as he continues his search for the right program. His decision to decommit from West Virginia has left many wondering where he will land next.
