Massive boost: West Virginia Mountaineers bolster depth with another significant addition from the transfer portal

West Virginia football secured talented player from the transfer portal. He transfers to WVU from Charlotte, started his college career with the Florida Gators and has two years of eligibility left.

His 2024 season at Charlotte was marred by injuries, limiting him to just five games. During that time, he completed 43 of 93 passes for 561 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions.

His performance at Florida was better when he wasn’t dealing with injuries, although his opportunities were limited. After redshirting in 2022, he served as a backup in 2023, completing 19 of 28 passes for 192 yards and 1 interception in six appearances. Over the course of his career at both schools, Brown has also accumulated 109 rushing yards.

He is the second transfer quarterback to join West Virginia this offseason, following the addition of former Texas A&M quarterback Jaylen Henderson earlier this month.
