Massive boost: Boston Red Sox land blockbuster deal for another top-notch sensational player

The Minnesota Twins traded another top talented player to the Boston Red Sox. The 29-year-old made his MLB debut in 2024 with the Red Sox, recording no hits in 18 at-bats across 13 games, though he walked four times and scored one run.

He spent the majority of the 2024 season at Double-A Portland and Triple-A Worcester, where he posted a combined .328 batting average, 27 doubles, 12 home runs, and 58 RBIs in 92 games. Gasper was selected by the Red Sox from the New York Yankees in the 2023 Rule 5 Draft.

Originally drafted by the Yankees in the 27th round of the 2018 draft, he has played multiple positions in the minors, including first base, second base, third base, catcher, and designated hitter. Over 407 minor league games with the Yankees and Red Sox organizations, he has a .275 batting average with 48 home runs and 207 RBIs.

Moran, 27, missed the 2024 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery following the 2023 campaign. He was drafted by the Twins in the seventh round of the 2015 draft and appeared in 79 relief games for Minnesota from 2021 to 2023, posting a 2-3 record with one save, a 4.15 ERA, 52 walks, 112 strikeouts, and a 1.33 WHIP over 91 innings.
