HUGE BOOST: Another 6-foot-4, 230-pound high rated All-Star had flipped commitment from Top Rival to the south alabama Jaguars

South Alabama has secured a verbal commitment for the 2025 football season from tight end , a Mississippi high school standout. Lynch, who had previously committed to Central Arkansas, announced on social media Monday that he would be joining the Jaguars. He is eligible to sign with South Alabama in February.

The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Lynch earned first-team Class 6A all-state honors this season at Warren Central High School in Vicksburg. He recorded 42 receptions for 459 yards and three touchdowns while playing both tight end and wide receiver for the Vikings, who finished with a 9-4 record and were eliminated in the semifinals by eventual state champion Grenada.

Lynch participated in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic in Mobile this past Saturday, where he caught a 33-yard touchdown pass from Auburn quarterback commit Deuce Knight in the first quarter of Team Mississippi’s 35-29 loss at Hancock Whitney Stadium.

South Alabama also added 12 players during the early signing period (Dec. 4-6), including junior college tight end Brec Long. Three of the Jaguars’ top five tight ends this season were seniors: starter DJ Thomas-Jones and backups Andrew Bench and Todd Justice.
