HUGE BOOST: Very inpactful superstar Reportedly sign with Boston Bruins

The Boston Bruins have been dissatisfied with their performance in the 2024-25 season through 31 games and are continuing to make changes. After a coaching change, the team is now adding to their roster.

The Bruins have claimed forward off waivers from the New York Islanders. Wahlstrom had been placed on waivers alongside Pierre Engvall, who went unclaimed.

Wahlstrom has played 27 games this season, recording just two goals and two assists for four total points. His recent years with the Islanders have been challenging. After totaling 43 points as a depth forward during the 2021-2022 season, Wahlstrom has struggled to replicate that success.

In the past three seasons, Wahlstrom has played 94 games, scoring 11 goals and adding 15 assists for 26 points overall.

At 24, there’s still hope that Wahlstrom can reach his full potential. Selected 11th overall in the 2018 NHL Draft, he quickly became a valuable contributor to the Islanders’ depth.

Over his NHL career, Wahlstrom has appeared in 220 games, recording 36 goals and 35 assists for a total of 71 points.

With Boston’s bottom six forward group lacking depth, Wahlstrom may have an opportunity to join the lineup and make an immediate impact.

A Portland, Maine native, Wahlstrom played college hockey at Boston College. As a child, he gained brief fame when he scored a highlight-reel shootout goal at TD Garden at just nine years old.
