A two-year Auburn football player who briefly served as the starting quarterback has found a new destination.
Brown shared the news on social media Friday in a post with On3’s Hayes Fawcett. He becomes the third Auburn transfer to find a new home, following defensive lineman Gage Keys and tight end Micah Riley.
Brown had announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on December 8, though reports about his decision surfaced on December 1. He became the second Auburn quarterback to enter the portal, joining redshirt sophomore Holden Geriner.
In 2024, Brown completed 27 of 43 passes, starting two games before being benched at halftime during Auburn’s 24-14 loss to Arkansas. After throwing three interceptions in that game, he never regained the starting role, as Payton Thorne took back the position.
With Brown, Thorne, and Geriner all leaving for 2024, Auburn is expected to bring in two transfer quarterbacks to join freshman Walker White and 2025 recruit Deuce Knight.
