The Los Angeles Dodgers have claimed the World Series title, and teams throughout the league are gearing up for the 2025 MLB season, aiming to position themselves as contenders for the championship.
The Los Angeles Angels have bolstered their roster with some star power. On Thursday, they revealed that they traded pitcher to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for 2021 World Series MVP.
In addition to winning a pennant with the Atlanta Braves in 2021, he also secured a World Series ring with the Chicago Cubs in 2016.
During the 2024 season, Soler played for the San Francisco Giants and had a second stint with the Braves. The 32-year-old right fielder appeared in 142 games, hitting 21 home runs and driving in 64 RBIs.
Soler led the American League in home runs in 2019 with the Kansas City Royals, posting a career-high 48. He also made his first All-Star team with the Miami Marlins in 2023.
Soler has two years remaining on his three-year, $42 million contract.
It is expected that Soler will primarily serve as the team’s designated hitter.
