BREAKING: ‘Huge blow’ Another gifted Beavers player flips commitment to Oregon Ducks

During a hectic early national signing day, the Oregon Ducks managed to steal a local high school football standout from their rivals, Oregon State. Wilsonville quarterback  who recently threw 8 touchdown passes in the Class 5A state final, signed with the Ducks on Wednesday. A two-sport athlete, Wiepert had originally committed to the Beavers for baseball but ultimately chose to sign with Oregon for football. It’s still uncertain whether he will also play baseball for the Ducks.

Wiepert is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports’ football rankings, where he is listed as the No. 12 player in Oregon.

The Ducks had a successful morning, with nine other 2025 football prospects signing before Wiepert officially joined the class.
