Among the most impressive offensive talents in the Class of 2025 is tight end Elyiss Williams, and on Wednesday, the Camden County High School standout confirmed his college commitment by officially signing with the Georgia Bulldogs.
Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 245 pounds, Williams is the nation’s top tight end in the class and ranks as the No. 36 overall prospect, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He is also the No. 5 prospect in Georgia.
Williams, who had been committed to Georgia for the longest time in the 2025 class, made the decision to stay close to home early on. Despite offers from Florida State and Miami, he remained firm in his commitment to the Bulldogs.
“I am locked in with Georgia,” Williams shared with On3’s Chad Simmons in May. “I talk to Coach Todd Hartley daily, and Coach Kirby Smart a lot, and they are great guys at a great program. Coach Hartley develops tight ends quickly, Georgia utilizes tight ends a lot, and I feel really good about Georgia. It’s the hometown school, the people are great, they develop players at my position, and there’s a lot I like.”
Williams will join fellow four-star tight end Ethan Barbour from Milton High School in Georgia’s 2025 class.
Scouting Report on Elyiss Williams
Williams is a massive tight end with one of the largest catch radii in the 2025 cycle. Just shy of 6-foot-7 and around 245 pounds, he has impressive length with 34-inch arms and large hands. Early in his career, he played in a wing-T offense before transitioning to a spread offense as a senior. He lines up both split out wide and in-line, showcasing his ability to win jump ball situations and catch passes in tight coverage.
Over his final two years, Williams improved his ball skills and showed an ability to track passes over his shoulder. He is fluid for his size and difficult to bring down in the open field, demonstrating good contact balance and an effective stiff arm. As a junior, he recorded 25 catches for 530 yards and seven touchdowns. In his senior season, he had a standout year with 54 catches for 789 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Williams also has potential as a blocker, with good play strength and an understanding of body positioning. As a dual-sport athlete, he excelled in basketball, scoring over 1,000 points in just 2.5 years and earning regional player of the year honors as a junior.
Despite his size and skills, Williams will need to improve his quickness, change of direction, and release to become a more effective separator and threat after the catch, particularly on intermediate routes. His ability to separate will determine his ceiling as a high-level, physically-gifted tight end.
