Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers is widely recognized for her calm and composed demeanor, both on and off the court. Her laid-back personality has played a significant role in earning her one of the largest fan bases in women’s basketball.
That said, Bueckers isn’t without her fiery side. As a fiercely competitive athlete, the 23-year-old occasionally lets her emotions show during games.

An example of this intensity showed up during a Wings practice on July 5. Dallas reporter Melissa Triebwasser shared an X post featuring Bueckers receiving a pass from head coach Chris Koclanes and attempting a three-pointer. After missing the shot, Bueckers could be heard expressing frustration with a loud scream.
She then grabbed a ball from a team staff member and hurled it against a nearby wall. When it bounced back, she tossed it at the wall again with one hand, caught it, and handed it back to the staff member before walking off.

Just to clarify, Bueckers’ frustration seemed to be brief, likely sparked by the missed shot, and didn’t linger long. No one at the practice seemed to react much either.
Still, it’s amusing to see Bueckers act out like this, especially since it’s such a contrast to her usual calm and collected demeanor that fans are accustomed to seeing.
