Baylor football continues to build momentum on the recruiting trail, landing a key piece for its defensive future with the commitment of edge rusher .
A 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect out of Cedar Hill High School in Texas, announced his decision via social media on Tuesday evening. He chose the Bears over offers from Oklahoma State, Arizona, and SMU, among others.
“I’m excited to say I’m 100% committed to Baylor University,” Morgan wrote in his post. “Thank you to all the coaches who believed in me. It’s time to get to work.”
Ranked as a top-75 edge prospect nationally by 247Sports, Morgan brings explosiveness off the line, solid technique, and a relentless motor that made him a standout in his junior season. He recorded 11 sacks, 19 tackles for loss, and three forced fumbles, helping lead Cedar Hill to the state playoffs.

Baylor defensive coordinator Matt Powledge and edge coach Caleb Collins were instrumental in Morgan’s recruitment. The Bears prioritized him early in the cycle, hosting him multiple times in Waco and emphasizing their player development track record.
Morgan becomes the seventh commitment in Baylor’s 2026 recruiting class and the second defensive lineman to join the fold. His addition addresses a key need in the Bears’ front seven as they continue to reshape the defense under head coach Dave Aranda.
With Morgan now in the mix, Baylor fans can expect more fireworks as the summer recruiting period heats up.
