Five-star Talent has officially received a scholarship offer from new NC State basketball head coach Will Wade and his staff.
The top guard, originally from North Carolina, shared news of the NC State offer on social media Saturday. He’s also caught the attention of fellow ACC schools Duke and UNC, who have him on their radar for the 2027 recruiting class.
The Wolfpack extended the offer shortly after Gibson wrapped up an unofficial visit to Raleigh. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound standout is currently ranked No. 14 overall and the top combo guard in the 2027 class according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Gibson already holds more than a dozen offers, including from major programs such as Michigan, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and Penn State.
Will Wade and the NC State coaching staff have been particularly active in recruiting 2027 prospects lately, and it’s clear that Gibson is a top priority for the program.
