It’s been a productive weekend on the recruiting trail for the Texas Longhorns. Late Saturday night, they secured a commitment from four-star defensive lineman . Less than 24 hours later, they landed another big-time addition—four-star wide receiver Kohen Brown from Waxahachie, Texas.
Brown becomes the 11th pledge in Texas’ 2026 recruiting class. While the Longhorns boasted the top-ranked class previously, their 2026 haul currently sits at No. 20 overall, indicating there’s still work to be done to reach that elite level again.

The 6-foot, 190-pound wideout is ranked No. 244 nationally and stands as the No. 32 wide receiver in the 2026 class, according to Rivals. He’s also considered the No. 14 prospect in Texas.
Brown enjoyed a breakout season in 2024, recording 1,084 receiving yards on 54 catches with 11 touchdowns. He also showcased his versatility, adding 138 rushing yards and two more scores.
With Brown, the Longhorns are injecting serious speed into their receiving corps—not just football speed, but elite track speed. As a junior, he clocked an impressive 10.69 seconds in the 100-meter dash, per MileSplit.
