Power-hitting prospect is slated to make his MLB debut with the Kansas City Royals.
Per multiple reports, the 22-year-old, who was the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft and a standout at the University of Florida, is expected to be called up on Tuesday after playing just 79 games in the minor leagues.
Known for his elite raw power, Caglianone has put up strong numbers this season, hitting .322 with a .389 on-base percentage and a .593 slugging percentage. He has totaled 27 home runs across 38 games split between Double-A Northwest Arkansas (15) and Triple-A Omaha (12).
With his tremendous bat speed and elite exit velocity, Caglianone’s home runs are often of the highlight-reel variety.

Earlier this season, Caglianone made headlines by hitting an opposite-field single with an exit velocity of 120.9 mph. At the time, it ranked as the 12th-hardest hit ball ever tracked by Statcast and marked the highest exit velocity ever recorded in minor league history.
The left-handed slugger is a natural first baseman, but he has seen time in the minors this season in the outfield – an area where the Royals have been among the least productive in the major leagues.
After an off day on Monday, Caglianone is expected to make his Royals debut Tuesday in St. Louis.
