Tony Elliott and the Virginia Cavaliers land massive commitment to bolster depth

Tony Elliott and Virginia have secured another commitment for their 2026 recruiting class. Alex Dunn, a versatile athlete from Rustburg High School in Rustburg, VA, revealed on social media this evening that he has committed to the Cavaliers.

Alex Dunn, a standout wide receiver and defensive back at Rustburg High School, is a versatile 6’1″, 180-pound athlete with potential at both positions. With the right coaching and development, Dunn has the opportunity to become a key contributor at the next level. He marks the fifth commitment for Virginia’s 2026 recruiting class.

This commitment comes less than a week after Virginia secured another pledge from three-star offensive tackle Michael Gildea, who plays at Hun School in Princeton, NJ. Gildea, who committed to Tony Elliott and the Cavaliers last Thursday, became the fourth member of UVA’s 2026 class and the second offensive lineman.
