HUGE BLOW: Cincinnati Bearcats Confirm More Bad news

First and foremost, I want to take a moment to thank all of the coaches who helped guide me and every one of my teammates who made this journey unforgettable. The last two years have felt like a movie—full of growth, memories, and love. Cincinnati has become more than just a place to me—it’s home. It will forever hold a special place in my heart.

After deep reflection and prayer, I’ve made the decision to enter the transfer portal and pursue a new chapter, trusting in the path that God has laid out for me. It’s been a true blessing to represent the Bearcats. I’m incredibly thankful for the fans who embraced me and showed me so much support throughout my time here.

This isn’t goodbye—just see you later.

With love and respect,
Rayvon Griffith

Rayvon Griffith appeared in 19 games for Cincinnati after redshirting his first season (2023–24), averaging 1.9 points and 0.8 rebounds. He showed flashes of his potential, posting career-high performances during the College Basketball Crown tournament and in the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The 6-foot-6 wing, known for his athleticism and energy, came to UC as one of the top recruits in Ohio and quickly became a fan favorite. Despite limited minutes in a crowded rotation, he remained a vibrant presence both on and off the court—including representing UC at the Cincinnati Public Schools All-Star Showcase.

As he prepares for his next step with three years of eligibility remaining, Griffith leaves UC with gratitude and the best wishes of Bearcat Nation behind him.
