Another top linebacker committed to the Gopher , marking their first pledge for the class of 2026. Dunn had received a wide range of scholarship offers from top programs, including Oregon, Miami (FL), and Michigan, among others.
“#AGTG 100% committed! Let’s go!! Proverbs 3:5-6 #RTB 🚣🏾#SkiUMah,” he posted to X.
Standing at 6-foot-1 and 219 pounds, Hudson Dunn is a three-star recruit on most recruiting services, but his offer list suggests he’s got elite potential. As a junior at Liberty High School, he racked up 57 tackles and 13.5 sacks. The latest 247Sports Composite ranks him as the 581st-best player in the nation.
Dunn is the first linebacker commit for new Minnesota linebackers coach Mariano Sori-Marin from the high school ranks, marking a significant win for Sori-Marin. Oregon and Michigan had both heavily recruited Dunn, and he has official visits scheduled with both programs later this year. However, he’ll first visit Minnesota officially on May 30.
While Dunn is a three-star recruit, his talent makes him a noteworthy addition to the Gophers’ 2026 class. He now becomes one of 10 recruits verbally committed, ranking as the third-highest in the class according to 247Sports.
