North Carolina Makes Major Announcement Regarding Four-Star Talented Forward

As the college basketball season wrapped up, programs nationwide began recognizing their players with various prestigious awards.

On Friday, the North Carolina Tar Heels presented the ACC Top Six For Service Award to a former highly touted recruit.

Jae’Lyn Withers, a four-star prospect from the 2019 class, received the honor following his second season with North Carolina.

The former highly regarded recruit averaged 6.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 0.7 assists during his last season at North Carolina.

He spent his first three years of college basketball at Louisville before joining the Tar Heels for the past two seasons.

The ACC Top Six For Service Award, which Withers received, is given each year to six student-athletes from each ACC school who show exceptional commitment to community service.

In a press release from North Carolina, it was noted that Withers “established and managed a mentorship program at a local middle school, aiming to support minority eighth-grade boys as they prepare for the transition to high school.”
