After spending one season with the Utah football team, 6-foot-2 physically gifted player has decided to enter the transfer portal.
A former three-star recruit, he played in 10 games during his freshman year with the Utes, catching 10 passes for 101 yards and rushing three times for 16 yards. His standout performance came in a 28-14 win over UCF on November 29, where he recorded six receptions for 72 yards.
Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham stated that wide receiver is one of the position groups his team plans to focus on through the transfer portal this spring. Dorian Singer, the Utes’ top pass catcher from last season, declared for the 2025 NFL Draft last month, and three other receivers from the 5-7 squad have also entered the portal. After failing to secure a visit from former five-star recruit Micah Hudson, Whittingham and his coaching staff will need to explore other options if they hope to provide their new quarterback, Devon Dampier, with experienced talent for next fall.

Williams’ departure comes as the Utes are reportedly arranging a visit with McNeese State transfer Jer’Michael Carter, a 6-foot-4 wide receiver who led the Cowboys in receiving last season. Additionally, Utah has scheduled a visit with 6-foot-4 wideout RJ Mosley, a product of Pittsburg High School in California, for June 20.
The Utes have landed two commitments via the portal this spring, both on the defensive side of the ball. Former Auburn cornerback JC Hart committed to Utah on Monday, followed by Furman transfer cornerback Jaylen Moson on Tuesday.
