Kirk Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes scored a big victory in recruiting by securing four-star talented player, bolstering their 2026 class with another standout lineman.
What’s even more impressive is that Iowa managed to outpace several elite programs to land him, including Penn State, Auburn, Oklahoma, and Iowa State, according to David Eickholt of 247 Sports.
He is ranked as the 21st-best interior offensive lineman and 283rd overall in 247 Sports’ composite rankings. Hailing from Hinsdale, Illinois, he’s also the 14th-ranked player in the state.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound lineman joins fellow recruits Carson Nielson, Hudson Parliament, Owen Linder, and Collin Whitters in Iowa’s offensive line class for 2026.

Historically, Iowa hasn’t been known for its offense, which has contributed to struggles in recent years. Despite a strong defense, their inability to consistently score has held them back from competing at the top level of college football.
However, the Hawkeyes appear to be focusing more on improving their offense, as seen earlier this offseason when they added quarterback Mark Gronowski and wide receiver Sam Phillips through the transfer portal.
Of course, it will take seeing results on the field to determine if Iowa has truly turned a corner, but this is certainly a positive sign for the program’s future.
Iowa finished the 2024 season with an 8-5 record, ending their year with a loss to Missouri in the Music City Bowl.
