MAJOR ADDITION: Indiana Hoosiers have landed their first portal addition

The Indiana Hoosiers have secured their first transfer of the spring, adding former Kent State edge rusher Stephen Daley. The 6’1″, 260-pound defensive lineman has one remaining year of eligibility.

Stephen Daley appeared in 34 games during his time with the Kent State Golden Flashes, recording 103 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, two fumble recoveries, and one interception over his career.

In the previous season, Pro Football Focus ranked him as the 71st-best edge defender in the nation. He contributed on both defense and special teams.

Daley stood out in 12 games last season, leading the team in tackles for loss (9) and finishing second in sacks (4). He also held his own against Power Four opponents — Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and Penn State — tallying nine tackles and two tackles for loss across those matchups.

The Indiana Hoosiers picked up Daley from the transfer portal in the spring as they sought to bolster their defensive line. With multiple linemen entering the portal, Indiana could continue adding talent up front.
