BREAKING: Another highly rated super talent transfer to Gophers basketball team

The Gophers women’s basketball team has strengthened their roster with an experienced guard through the transfer portal.

A 5-11 graduate student guard from Kansas State, will spend her final year of eligibility with the Gophers, according to sources. The Kansas City native, who took a redshirt last season, hasn’t played since the 2023-24 season.

Over her first three years with the Wildcats, Glenn started 93 of 102 games, averaging 7.6 points and 1.4 steals per game.

She attended Kansas State alongside her twin sister, Jaelyn, who was a four-year starter and recently helped the Wildcats reach the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament.

In 2022, Glenn earned a spot on the Big 12 All-Freshman Team. As a junior, she averaged 6.3 points per game, setting career highs in shooting percentage (.427) and three-point shooting (.316). She contributed to the Wildcats’ NCAA tournament appearances in two of her first three seasons.

Her decision to redshirt was not due to injury. Kansas State coach Jeff Mitte explained that the decision followed discussions between him and Glenn, as there were areas she wanted to improve.

With Glenn’s addition, the Gophers’ guard lineup becomes even stronger.

Returning point guard Amaya Battle, an all-Big Ten honorable mention, will be back after a standout performance during the Gophers’ WBIT tournament victory. Tori McKinney, a Big Ten All-Freshman Team selection, also returns, and Mara Braun is expected to return from a medical redshirt after a foot injury. Kennedy Klick, who played in 22 games as a redshirt freshman, will also be back. Minnesota will further bolster their backcourt with the addition of Makena Christian, a highly ranked recruit from Hartford (Wis.), who will join this fall.

However, the team will be without guard Alexsia Rose, who graduated, and McKenna Johnson, who entered the transfer portal after her freshman year.
