
The University of Pittsburgh basketball team officially lost another star player, as guard announced commitment to the Arizona State Sun Devils. Talia Goodman from On3 Sports was the first to report the news.
A 5-foot-7 junior, she spent the last three seasons at Pitt. She had previously declared her intention to enter the transfer portal shortly after the Panthers’ season-ending defeat to Virginia in the ACC tournament.
This season, Washenitz averaged 9.3 points, 2.7 assists, and 2.3 steals in 28.8 minutes per game. She ranked fourth on the team in scoring and second in assists. Washenitz shot 35.3% from the field, an impressive 35% from beyond the arc, and 68.8% from the free-throw line.
