Missouri Tigers abruptly lose potential star to the transfer portal

The Missouri Tigers are losing another running back to the transfer portal.

A former three-star recruit in the class of 2024 ranked No. 796 nationally, has decided to enter the transfer portal. In high school, he played multiple positions and was initially recruited as a safety by the Tigers, but quickly switched to running back after joining the team.

Dendy becomes the first running back from Missouri to enter the transfer portal this cycle and the second overall, following former four-star freshman Kewan Lacy, who left during the initial transfer window to commit to Ole Miss.

The Pine Bluff, Arkansas native will have four years of eligibility remaining. He held offers from schools like Arkansas State, Liberty, Memphis, Michigan State, and Mississippi State, among others. Dendy is not alone in transferring this offseason; his fellow Pine Bluff native, Courtney Crutchfield, also entered the portal and later committed to Arkansas.

With Dendy’s departure, the Tigers’ running back depth now includes Louisiana-Monroe transfer Ahmad Hardy, sophomore Jamal Roberts, true freshmen Marquise Davis and Brendan Haygood, and junior Tavorus Jones, another former four-star recruit still on the roster.
