BREAKING: Red Sox Projected To Sign $182 Million Superstar After Big Season

The Boston Red Sox are under pressure to make major offseason moves, and they’re well-positioned to do it. While the roster is strong, it still has a few gaps — especially at third base following Alex Bregman’s decision to opt out of his contract.

Bregman’s entry into free agency is expected to be one of the biggest storylines for Boston this offseason. According to Jim Bowden of The Athletic, he’s projected to secure a hefty $182 million contract, and the Red Sox should pursue him aggressively.

Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report even predicted that Boston will ultimately sign Bregman when free agency unfolds this winter.

“Like the Yankees, the Boston Red Sox are looking to bring back a high-profile player who was just added a year ago,” Knox wrote. “Third baseman Alex Bregman signed a three-year, $120 million deal with Boston in February, but, as expected, he opted-out at the start of the offseason. According to Passan, the Red Sox would like to have him back but will face stiff competition on the open market.”

The Red Sox should be abl to land Bregman on a new deal while having the money to sign a big slugger next to him. But Bregman should be the priority.

The veteran third baseman was one of the best players in the American League this year, when he was healthy, and he could be even better next year. Aside from him, they could look to land a big deal with Pete Alonso or Kyle Schwarber to add some additional pop to the lineup.
