The Cincinnati Reds are sending Sam Moll down and calling up relief pitcher, per Charlie Goldsmith.

The team needed a fresh bullpen arm after Nick Lodolo was scratched from his scheduled start against the Blue Jays on Tuesday.
Reiver Sanmartin is set to make his return to the majors after missing time due to Tommy John surgery in 2023. His last MLB appearance came in 2022, when he posted a 6.32 ERA over 45 games with the Reds.
Now 29, Sanmartin has put together a strong season at Triple-A Louisville, recording a 2.79 ERA across 41 relief appearances.
Meanwhile, Sam Moll has struggled to recapture his previous form. The left-hander has a 6.38 ERA in 23 outings this season. While he was a key bullpen contributor after being acquired at the 2023 trade deadline, injuries early this year have hampered his performance.
