Reds pitchers Brandon Williamson and Julian Aguiar will both miss the remainder of the season following Tommy John surgery late last year.
Earlier this week, the Reds, along with MLB.com’s Mark Sheldon, shared updates on their recoveries.

Williamson began throwing off a mound in Arizona back in September, but the Reds recently advised him to scale back his efforts. He’s now in Cincinnati, where he’s playing catch and working out with the team.
Aguiar, who underwent Tommy John surgery in October, has also been throwing off a mound in Arizona. On Tuesday, he held a bullpen session at Great American Ball Park, with another scheduled for August 17.
Both Aguiar and Williamson are expected to bolster the Reds’ pitching depth in 2026, provided they return to full health.
