Dallas Wings’ super star Paige Bueckers gets honest about WNBA struggles with 71-word-message

Dallas Wings rookie point guard Paige Bueckers is already showing star potential midway through her debut season in the WNBA.

That said, Bueckers is the first to admit she still has plenty of room to grow and learn.

Bueckers spoke with ESPN reporter Elle Duncan about the trials and tribulations the WNBA brings.

Bueckers shares struggles in WNBA adjustment

Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers looks on before the game against the New York Liberty.

“I feel like I’m adjusting every single game. It’s not like I have it figured out,” Bueckers said via ESPN’s Elle Duncan h/t Bleacher Report contributor Andrew Peters.

“There’s learning curves to it and there’s ups and downs to it, but as much as I can I’m just trying to learn every day, watch a lot of film, breaking stuff down to where I’m reading the game in a different way. Every game is a new challenge to learn from.”

Bueckers and the Wings have had a tough start to the season, winning just eight of their first 27 games.

With 17 games remaining, there’s still an opportunity for the Wings to improve, but Bueckers is keeping her focus on personal growth, taking it one game at a time. If she continues to develop, she could soon emerge as one of the WNBA’s top players.

The Wings will aim for another win as they face off against Rhyne Howard, Brittney Griner, and the Atlanta Dream. The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. CT at the College Park Center in Arlington.
