The Texas Rangers kicked off the new week with a series of roster moves. Third baseman Josh Jung, infielder/outfielder Michael Helman, and right-hander Cole Winn were recalled from Triple-A Round Rock, the team announced Monday. In corresponding moves, infielder Justin Foscue and outfielder Alejandro Osuna were optioned to Round Rock.

In addition to those changes, the Rangers placed reliever Chris Martin on the 15-day injured list due to a left calf strain, which he sustained during Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Detroit.
When healthy, Martin has been one of the Rangers’ most reliable bullpen arms.
The Rangers are hoping Jung can regain his rhythm in the majors after his brief stint in Round Rock. He posted a hit in seven of his eight games in Round Rock, slashing .205/.225/.410 with two home runs and four RBIs.
The Rangers originally optioned Jung to Round Rock on July 2.
