Awesome!!! Cincinnati Reds Veteran Surprises Cancer Survivor with Heartfelt Gift

Cincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson (37) comes around third to score from first on an RBI double by Spencer Steer in the first inning of the MLB interleague game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Minnesota Twins at Great American Ball Park in downtown Cincinnati on Thursday, June 19, 2025. The Twins led 9-4 after four innings.

Cincinnati Reds catcher is known for his skill behind the plate, but he’s even more admired for his character. During Wednesday’s game against the Miami Marlins, he noticed a sign in the stands that read, “My wife beat cancer’s a\*\*. Let’s go Reds!”

Touched by the message, Stephenson took a moment to sign his bat and had it sent over to her in the stands.

At 28, he’s hitting .231/.316/.385 with 16 extra-base hits this season.

This is one of those heartwarming moments that remind us why sports are so special. You can check out the photo of the fan and Stephenson’s signed bat below:
