MOMENTUM: Gators’ Recruiting MACHINE in FULL FORCE that RESHAPE Florida’s Future

After hosting three official visit (OV) weekends and landing six commitments for its 2026 recruiting class, the Florida Gators are set to conclude their summer OV schedule with a fourth and final major recruiting weekend.

A total of 15 prospects — including one who has already taken an OV — will be in Gainesville this weekend. Florida aims to continue its hot streak and secure a fourth consecutive commitment from a visit weekend.

Florida Gators on SI has listed all the weekend’s visitors, highlighting in bold those who include Florida among their top schools. You can find every recruiting update, from commitments to key targets and the full summer OV schedule, on the 2026 Recruiting Tracker.

June 13–15 Visitors:

  • QB Will Griffin (Florida commit)

  • WR Marquez Daniel

  • WR Davian Groce

  • TE Kaiden Prothro

  • TE Carson Sneed

  • OL Chris Booker (Alabama commit)

  • OL Desmond Green

  • OL Claude Mpouma

  • OL Tyler Chukuyem

  • DL Kendall Guervil

  • DL James Johnson

  • EDGE Trent Henderson

  • EDGE JaReylan McCoy (unofficial visit)

  • LB Malik Morris

  • LB Izayia Williams (Ole Miss commit)

Noteworthy Prospects:

  • JaReylan McCoy, a five-star EDGE from Tupelo (Miss.), had previously taken an OV with Florida and was narrowing his choices between the Gators and Texas. However, after canceling his Texas visit to make an unofficial return to Gainesville, Florida is now viewed as the favorite. McCoy is expected to announce his decision on July 1 and currently holds several On3 predictions to commit to Florida. He’s ranked the No. 2 EDGE rusher in the ESPN 300.

  • Malik Morris, a four-star linebacker from Lakeland (Fla.), also holds multiple On3 predictions to choose Florida. The No. 8 LB in the class has already visited Miami and Texas A&M and will wrap up his summer visits at Colorado (June 18) and Missouri (June 20).

Five-Star TE Kaiden Prothro (Bowdon, Ga.)

Prothro, the No. 3 tight end nationally, has kept Florida high on his list even though he hasn’t named finalists. Auburn is considered the current frontrunner after a recent midweek visit, but a strong showing by Florida this weekend could shift momentum before his Texas visit next week. With three-star TE Kekua Aumua already committed, Florida is likely to take just one more tight end — also targeting four-star Heze Kent and three-star Lincoln Watkins.

Four-Star WR Marquez Daniel (Tuskegee, Ala. – Booker T. Washington)

Florida and Auburn appear to be the final two contenders for Daniel. He’s visited Auburn six times and was there last weekend. Now Florida will have the chance to make a lasting impression before he commits. The Gators already hold a commitment from four-star WR Justin Williams and are finalists for five-star Cederian Morgan (announcing July 2) and four-star Somourian Wingo, who is projected to join Williams. Daniel’s visit and decision could provide a strong signal about how Florida’s 2026 wide receiver class will ultimately take shape.
