Mississippi State men’s basketball has made an intriguing addition to its roster with the commitment of a 6-foot-9 forward from Slovenia.
The 21-year-old is set to join the Bulldogs later this summer, bringing international experience and size to the team as they prepare for the upcoming season.
He drew international attention with an impressive showing at the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup, where he averaged 12.4 points on 48.7% shooting, along with 7.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. Over 18 appearances with Slovenia’s national youth teams, Macura has posted solid averages of 9.6 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.

The 21-year-old has also made two appearances for Slovenia’s senior national team, showcasing his potential on a bigger stage. Most recently, Macura has been competing in the Serbian national league with Mega MIS, although his playing time there has been limited. His combination of international experience and upside makes him a promising addition to Mississippi State’s roster.
