BREAKING: Buffalo Sabres sign talented forward to bolster depth

The Buffalo Sabres have bolstered their group of prospects by signing forward Tyler Kopff to a two-year entry-level contract that begins next season. Additionally, the team announced that Kopff will finish the current season on a tryout contract with their AHL affiliate, the Rochester Americans.

Kopff, 21, played this season at Brown University, where he recorded nine goals and 19 assists for 28 points in 32 games. This followed a solid freshman campaign in 2023–24, during which the 6-foot-4 forward tallied six goals and 18 points across 30 games.

Prior to his college career, Kopff played in the BCHL for the Coquitlam Express during the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons, notching 42 goals and 93 points in 107 games.

With this signing, the Sabres continue to strengthen their pipeline with promising talent. It will be intriguing to see how the Ridgewood, New Jersey native progresses and what kind of role he might play with the Sabres in the coming years.
