The North Carolina Tar Heels have long been recognized as one of the top college basketball programs in the country.

UNC is known for its rich coaching legacy, having previously been led by legendary figures like Dean Smith and Roy Williams.

In recent years, Hubert Davis has stepped into the role of head coach, leading the program for the past four seasons.

Following his fourth year at the helm, Davis received a notable honor from Team USA Basketball.

He has been selected to serve as a court coach for the USA Basketball Men’s U19 National Team during their training camp.

The Tar Heels’ official social media account confirmed the news, posting that Davis will be a “USA Basketball Men’s U19 National Team Court Coach during training camp.”

According to Team USA’s official announcement, Davis will work alongside Alabama’s Nate Oats and Kentucky’s Mark Pope as fellow practice coaches.

The U19 national team will be led by Arizona Wildcats head coach Tommy Lloyd, who is expected to establish a strong connection with the Team USA program.

Hubert Davis has led the Tar Heels as head coach since 2021. Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach at UNC starting in 2012.

Before beginning his coaching career, Davis played in the NBA from 1992 to 2004, with stints on teams including the New York Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards, Detroit Pistons, and New Jersey Nets.
