Pat Kelsey is adding more international talent to Louisville basketball’s 2025-26 roster.
Sananda Fru will not be the only international recruit joining the Louisville men’s basketball program for the 2025 class.
A 20-year-old forward from Senegal, has committed to the Cardinals, according to 247Sports’ Travis Branham. Camara, who most recently trained at NBA Academy Africa, has been involved with the academy since 2023. The 6-foot-7, 215-pound small/power forward hails from Guereo, Senegal, and is ranked as a four-star prospect in the 2025 class by 247Sports.
Throughout his time at NBA Academy Africa, located about five miles from his hometown in Saly, Camara has participated in several events, including the 2025 NBA Academy Northeast Tour, the 2024 NBA Academy Winter Tour, and the 2024 NBA Academy Games. He has posted averages of 10.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.8 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game, while shooting 60.0% from the field and 37.5% from beyond the arc.

Camara is currently playing in the Basketball Africa League with Made By Ball, where he has contributed three points and 11 rebounds over the first two games of the 2025 season. He has also participated in Basketball Without Borders and has gained international experience with the Senegal National Team.
Camara becomes the third commitment for Louisville’s 2025 recruiting class, joining point guard Mikel Brown Jr. from DME Academy (Fla.) Daytona Beach and Fru. He is the sixth newcomer overall, alongside transfers Ryan Conwell, Isaac McKneely, and Adrian Wooley.
Notably, Camara is the second NBA Academy Africa prospect ever to commit to Louisville, following in the footsteps of former Cardinals center Emmanuel Okorafor. Although details about other schools involved with Camara remain unclear, he did visit UCF officially this past March.
Camara’s commitment comes just days after a significant roster update. Louisville’s appeal regarding center Aly Khalifa’s eligibility waiver was recently denied by the NCAA, although the Cardinals are still in the process of appealing the decision.
