Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi has been fined \$5,000 by the NHL for a late-game hit on Florida Panthers center Aleksander Barkov during Game 4 of their second-round playoff series.
The incident occurred in the final moments of Florida’s 2–0 win on Sunday, with Domi receiving a five-minute major penalty for boarding. The fine represents the maximum allowable under the NHL’s collective bargaining agreement.

Panthers head coach Paul Maurice commented on the situation postgame, stating, “I think the league looks at those things very closely, especially at that point in the game, and that’s their job.”
Domi, 30, registered eight goals and 25 assists this season. Barkov, 29, contributed 20 goals and 51 assists in 67 games.
Game 5 of the series—where home teams have won every game so far—is scheduled for Wednesday night in Ontario.
