BREAKING: Duke’s Jon Scheyer Gets Transfer Portal News As Top super Talented Star Commit to Duke

Duke Blue Devils head coach Jon Scheyer has thrived in his role since being promoted, leading the team to notable success.

Since taking over in 2022, Scheyer has guided Duke to impressive NCAA Tournament performances, including reaching both the Elite Eight and the Final Four. Most recently, the Blue Devils advanced to the Final Four after victories over Mount St. Mary’s, Baylor, Arizona, and Alabama, before being eliminated by Houston.

With a significant roster overhaul looming, Duke has turned to the transfer portal to strengthen its squad. On Sunday, Princeton transfer Jack Scott announced his commitment to the program.

“Committed,” Scott posted. “@DukeMBB Thanks to Coach Scheyer, Coach Schrage, and the entire Duke coaching staff for this opportunity.”

Scott spent three seasons with Princeton from 2022 to 2025, averaging 1.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game last season. While his stats aren’t flashy, he brings experience and has played in the NCAA Tournament.

His addition comes at a crucial time, as Duke looks to fill the void left by departing talent from the 2024–25 campaign. The Blue Devils finished the season with a 35-4 record—their first 35-win season in 10 years and only the sixth in program history.

That success was fueled by a standout freshman trio—Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, and Khaman Maluach—each a five-star recruit, all of whom declared for the 2025 NBA Draft following their breakout seasons.
