Top Talented Safety Gives Brent Venables and The Oklahoma Sooners Some Great News

The Oklahoma Sooners have made the cut for one of the top defensive prospects in the 2026 recruiting class. Three-star safety  announced on social media Friday that he has narrowed his list to five schools — and Oklahoma is in the mix.

Joining the Sooners in Jandreau’s top five are Michigan, Florida State, Oregon, and Texas A&M, marking a competitive field for the 6-foot-1, 185-pound defender out of Cheshire Academy in Connecticut.

Jandreau has seen his recruitment heat up over the past several months after a breakout junior season where he recorded 65 tackles, four interceptions, and showcased impressive range in the secondary. His combination of speed, football IQ, and physicality has drawn attention from programs across the Power Five.

Oklahoma’s coaching staff, led by defensive coordinator Zac Alley and safeties coach Brandon Hall, has been aggressive in pursuing Jandreau, making multiple visits and emphasizing the program’s track record of developing defensive backs for the NFL.

With his official visits expected to begin this summer, Jandreau says he hopes to commit before the start of his senior season.

“I’m looking for a place that feels like home — somewhere I can grow as a player and a person,” Jandreau said. “Oklahoma has really stood out to me in that way.”

Stay tuned as the Sooners continue to push for a key addition to their 2026 recruiting class.
