With a weekend rotation already made up of three left-handed pitchers, it’s no surprise that Michael Earley has added yet another southpaw to his roster.
A left-handed pitcher from Norman, Oklahoma, has committed to Earley and the Texas A\&M Aggies after previously decommitting from his hometown Oklahoma Sooners in December.
Williams announced his official commitment to the Maroon and White Wednesday afternoon in a post on X that was captioned “beyond blessed.”
Williams joins the Aggies with a formidable three-pitch arsenal—fastball, slider, and changeup—that has made him one of the most dominant arms in Oklahoma high school baseball.

But his impact doesn’t stop on the mound. He’s also a serious threat at the plate and in the outfield. At one point, Williams earned Prep Baseball’s Oklahoma Player of the Week honors after an explosive stretch where he went 9-for-16 at the plate and tossed a no-hitter with 13 strikeouts during the same week.
The addition of Elijah Williams is another clear indicator of Michael Earley’s commitment to building long-term success by investing in young, high-upside talent—particularly on the mound.
This approach has already paid off in 2025 with the emergence of Myles Patton, a left-handed transfer who has become a vital piece of the Aggie rotation, especially during series finales. Williams, with his electric stuff and two-way potential, could very well follow a similar path once he joins the program.
Whether he carves out a comparable role remains to be seen—but with Earley’s track record and Williams’ talent, the foundation is certainly there. Are you hoping to see Williams contribute as a two-way player?
