Penn State Nittany Lions suffer Huge Betrayal from High rated QB

The Penn State Nittany Lions will need to keep searching for a successor to senior quarterback Drew Allar, as their top quarterback target is headed elsewhere.

Jared Curtis, the top-ranked quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class, announced Monday that he has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, passing on Penn State and other programs.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound standout from Nashville Christian School has had an impressive high school career so far, throwing for 7,665 yards and 92 touchdowns with just 19 interceptions on 483-of-784 passing. He’s also a threat on the ground, rushing for 1,663 yards and 38 scores on 252 carries, making him one of the most dynamic dual-threat quarterbacks in the country.

While Penn State extended an offer, they were never a serious contender in Curtis’s recruitment, which ultimately came down to Georgia and Oregon. Still, the Nittany Lions made the effort to stay in the mix in case things shifted.

With another year of high school football ahead, Curtis is poised to continue developing before making what’s expected to be a major impact at the college level.
