Jaguars Part Ways with Ways with a key figure

The Jacksonville Jaguars have parted ways with Assistant General Manager Ethan Waugh, according to reports from NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo. Waugh, who served as interim GM after Trent Baalke’s departure, had been with the team since 2022. His departure is part of new General Manager James Gladstone’s effort to reshape the department to his liking, allowing Gladstone to build his own team.

Waugh had significant experience, previously working with Baalke in San Francisco for 12 seasons before joining the Jaguars. He was even one of the finalists for the GM role that Gladstone ultimately landed. With Waugh’s departure, Gladstone is expected to bring in his own scouting personnel and assistant GM, further solidifying his vision for the team’s future.

This move signals a significant shift in the Jaguars’ personnel department as Gladstone looks to put his stamp on the team’s roster and operations.
